Which would you prefer: A single shot at a $100 million jackpot or multiple chances to win $1 million? Lottery players in 20 U.S. states will soon have that choice.

A new national scratch-off game called Monopoly Millionaires' Club will launch in 20 states on October 19.

Unlike traditional lottery draw games like Mega Millions and PowerBall, the new game’s jackpot will not increase each time it rolls over.

Instead, the number of possible winners will increase, creating the potential for hundreds of $1 million winners.

"The game addresses player's requests to have more frequent prizes — but not as large as other multi-state draw games," said Courtney Arango, a spokeswoman for the Hoosier Lottery.

The Multi-State Lottery Association, which coordinates PowerBall and Mega Millions, is calling the new Monopoly-themed game the most exciting new game in lottery history.

Tickets will cost $5. While that’s the most popular price point for scratch-off tickets, it's more than the $1 to $2 cost of other national draw game tickets.

The number of states that plan to participate in the new game has not yet been announced.

Publicity surrounding the game could get an additional boost in early 2015. That’s when a new, nationally syndicated companion TV game is to premiere. Comedian Billy Gardell (above right) of 'Mike & Molly' is expected to host the weekly one-hour program.

The show will be filmed in Las Vegas and contestants will be selected from an audience of Monopoly Millionaires Club winners.
