Starting next Sunday August 24, Wyoming lottery players wanting to play Powerball and Mega Millions won’t require a trip over state lines, said Jon Clontz, Wyoming Lottery CEO.

He was commenting on the recent wins in those games by Wyoming residents in Colorado and South Dakota.

A Cheyenne resident won a Mega Millions jackpot of $1,994,548 in the Colorado Lottery on July 18, and Rickey T from Greybull recently won $10,004 in South Dakota’s Powerball.

"The exciting news is that a Wyoming resident went across the border to Colorado, bought a lottery ticket and won $1.9 million," said Jon Clontz.

"But the real exciting news is that starting August 24, we’ll be selling Powerball and Mega Millions tickets, so folks who live in Wyoming or even passing through can buy a ticket here and have the same chance to win."
