Aura tried her luck with the Florida Lotto through the online service in 2017. This website lets people from all over the world play different lotteries.
Aura chose to play with the same set of numbers for every draw in a month. Her lucky numbers were 3, 10, 20, 29, 35, and 50.
"I really was needing the money! Really, really!" Aura said when she found out she had won. She shared that although she is retired, she kept working to support her children. Winning this jackpot means she can finally relax and stop working.
To get her prize, Aura chose a one-time payment of $20,948,543.98.
She traveled to the Florida Lotto headquarters in Tallahassee to claim her money on August 16.
