Memory loss wins man two $1 million lottery prizes

He was playing the Virginia Lottery 'Bank A Million' lottery game, aiming for the big prize.
Winning the lottery is already a rare event, but winning the jackpot twice on the same day? That's even rarer.

Bernard decided to try his luck in the 'Bank A Million' game.
And he ended up buying not one, but two tickets in separate stores in Virginia Beach, both with the exact same numbers.
What makes this story so incredible is that both of his tickets matched all six winning numbers. After taxes were taken out, Bernard walked away $2 million richer.
The twist in Bernard's story started when he couldn't quite remember if he had already bought a ticket for the lottery. To make sure he was in the running, he went ahead and bought another one.
As fate would have it, he had indeed already purchased a ticket with the same lucky numbers.
Bernard shared that the night he discovered his double win was restless for him.
"I went to bed, but I couldn't sleep," he said.
On realizing he had not one, but two winning tickets, he found it even harder to believe. "Then I discovered I had the second winning ticket, and I really couldn't sleep!"
The lucky tickets were bought from two different Food Lion stores in Virginia Beach.
One was located at 5277 Princess Anne Road and the other at 4848 Virginia Beach Blvd.
For their part in this extraordinary story, each store received a $10,000 commission from the Virginia Lottery.
