133 players shared a UK Lotto jackpot of £16.2 million
/On Saturday, 14th January 1995 opened up a chance event for players in the UK National Lottery.
That day 133 players shared a Lotto jackpot of £16.2 million. The winning numbers for that draw that they all chose were 7, 17, 23, 32, 38, and 42.
The reason why so many ticket holders had selected the same numbers was simple - because those numbers were printed in the central columns of the playslip.
As a result of the large number of winners, each winner received a relatively smaller share of the jackpot, amounting to £122,510.
