What kind of home does a $180 million lottery winner build with unlimited money?
/A mountain home that comes with 45 buffalo, a steakhouse and a saloon. This is what California construction executive Rick Knudsen, of Calimesa, built when he won $180 million from the Mega Millions in 2014.
After the win, Rick immediately worked a deal on a mountain-top property with a mansion that was already under construction.
He enlarged the plans and finished building it and, at the same time, purchased more land totalling 865 acres, a buffalo farm, a steakhouse serving his grass-fed buffalo steaks and a Wild West saloon.
Now, the home is on the market for $26 million, as the lottery winner moves on to other development projects, according to TopTenRealEstateDeals.com.
Inside the five-bedroom home, there’s a 17-seat theater, a wine cellar, a gym and a master bedroom with its own deck and Jacuzzi.
The home also comes with some unique, sustainable features, including its own water source and extensive solar panels.
This one-of-a-kind mountaintop chalet, the land, and three interrelated income producing businesses that the lottery built are now for sale, priced at $26 million.
