Nurse couldn't believe that she won $1 million in North Carolina lottery

With the jackpots for Mega Millions and Powerball adding up this week, many are hopeful they’ve got the winning numbers. But one North Carolina nurse last year was a winner, and she didn’t believe it at first! Terri Watkins, a nurse who works in the COVID-19 ward of a long-term care facility, thought she was being pranked when she got a call telling her she had won $1 million in the North Carolina state lottery.
