When the $206.9 million Powerball was won on August 3, there was more than one winner. Except this lucky winner didn’t pay a cent for their ticket.
It was the lottery outlet that sold the winning ticket that was given $100,000 for their part in the win.

Officials from the Pennsylvania Lottery turned up to present the Westmoreland County Sheetz store in New Stanton with the check.
PR manager Nick Ruffner spoke about how excited they all were for the winner, and hoped the lucky recipient was from the area.

“Sheetz joins close to 10,000 of our valued retailer partners that help us sell Lottery products in a socially responsible way; products like our Draw games, Scratch-Offs and Keno," Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko said in a statement.
“We appreciate all of our retailers’ support over the past 50 years. With their support we’re able to generate proceeds that help fund life-sustaining programs for older Pennsylvanians,” he said.
