They have a combined fortune of more than £10 million (US$15M) but it doesn't mean these UK National Lottery winners are above a bit of hard work.

Five winners from across the South West joined together to spread a bit of Christmas cheer this morning by helping out at a Riding for Disabled charity in Taunton.

After responding to an appeal to muck out horses on a dreary Wednesday in December, they pulled on their wellies and gloves during the visit to the Conquest Equestrian Centre in Taunton.

They were helping other volunteers with their daily tasks and deliver gifts and treats.

The well-heeled group got stuck in to help with yard duties, painting and supporting riding lessons.

The Centre's manager Jess Dixon said: “Just ordinary people win the lottery but it's just so nice that people want to give back because there are loads of jobs for people to do here."

"All the little DIY jobs that have needed doing all year round get done. It's lovely to have this group come out and actually do that,” she said.
