Most people dream of buying a new car with their lottery winnings.

Brooklyn-based artists Adam Eckstrom and Lauren Was have shortcutted the process and built a car out of 35,000 losing lotto tickets.

Eckstrom and Was are the Brooklyn-based artist duo behind "Ghost of a Dream," a 2012 project that turned the discarded dreams of lottery losers into vivid, thought-provoking art.

This couple, who met at the Rhode Island School of Design, began a special art adventure that led them to create a Lamborghini sculpture from losing lottery tickets.

The Lamborghini, a symbol of luxury and unreachable riches for many people, is remade using the very items of failed dreams. The material they used is a comment on the risk of luxury and the temporary nature of material success.

By collecting discarded lottery tickets from across the globe, Eckstrom and Was weave together the lost hopes of thousands into a tangible representation of what those dreams could have looked like, had they come true.

They also built a Hummer H3 from the discarded tickets. It was available for $35,000.
