Lottery winner panics when she forgets exactly where she hid a $50,000 ticket

Months after buying the winning ticket, a Maryland woman was almost ready to miss out on her prize.
Srijana Wosti, 41, of Silver Spring, had bought a $5 Family Feud scratch-off ticket and thought she had won $50.
After she scanned it with her phone using the MD Lottery app, she discovered it was in fact worth a whopping $50,000.
Wosti bought the Family Feud scratch-off ticket from Kemp Mill Beer, Wine & Deli in Silver Spring in June, after taking a stroll in the park.
She had been buying tickets since the game debuted in April.
"I kept scanning it over and over," she told Maryland Lottery officials. "I was so happy."
The problem happened after she had hidden the ticket for safekeeping.
The full-time mother of a 2-year-old and an infant had a lot going on in her busy life.
So when she feared it was about to expire, she realized that she couldn’t remember where she had concealed it.
"I like to watch the show on television," Wosti said to lottery officials in the headquarters in Baltimore, "and, I like that Steve Harvey."
Wosti searched her home in a panic before finally finding it tucked away in a suitcase.
"I was so relieved to find it, and to know I wasn't too late,” she said happily.
Wosti said her winnings will go toward paying off some family bills.
There is a commission for the retailer selling the winning ticket, and Kemp Mill Beer, Wine & Deli will receive a $500 bonus from the Maryland Lottery.
