June Devellano of Fenwick was all smiles after winning $100,000 in Canada's November 28 Lotto 649 draw.
“My husband and I went to the store to mail some parcels and we decided to check our ticket while we were there,” shared June, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim her prize.
The winning ticket was purchased at Avondale Convenience Store on Canboro Road in Fenwick.
“When the attendant showed me the redemption slip with the $100,000 prize amount I thought it was a mistake!”
The big win is suddenly becoming a reality for the couple. “We were pretty calm at the store but now I’m getting very excited!” laughed June.
June and her husband plan to take a trip and put the rest of the windfall into their savings.
