What Are The Chances! Woman Sold Herself The Winning $1 Million Powerball Jackpot

It's an old story: you make your own luck. But this was never truer for one woman in Doniphan, Mo., who sold herself the winning Powerball jackpot of $1 million. It was the second bit of good luck she'd had that week.

The 57-year-old divorced convenience store clerk and pharmacy technician won $1 million in the $590 million Powerball jackpot on a ticket she sold herself.

And it came just one week after winning another $500 on a Pick 4 ticket.

It took a while for Hart to believe it herself after she got a call from her ex-husband Saturday afternoon telling her that a winning Powerball ticket had been purchased at the Hartland Pit Stop convenience store. She had owned the store for 25 years before selling it seven years ago.

She works there as a weekend cashier, and bought some tickets on the draw morning.
