On a June 2011 draw, one of the South Carolina Education Lottery draws went crazy as the balls started flying out of a draw tube. The draw was cancelled and redrawn later.

On Monday, June 6th, 2011, one of the South Carolina Education Lottery machines had a little bit of a malfunction live on TV. Here is a clip of it with balls going everywhere.

Luckily errors in lottery draws are uncommon. The three shown here happened in 1985, 2000 and 2011, but didn't caused any problems for winners.

During the January 3rd live tv draw in Picton in 1985, a Wintario lottery staffer loaded a ball into the wrong machine. To fix it they unloaded the machine and made sure the correct ball was retrieved in front of the cameras.

With live television, of course with a lottery draw, things do happen. Wintario's dedicated lottery staff worked the show every week and without fail would always load the machines without any hitches. Until the January 3rd draw in Picton in 1985, when lottery staffer Kathy, drop a green ball and after picking it up and showing it to the official recorder, she loaded it into the wrong machine.
