Canadian man thought Western Lottery machine had goofed up with his $2 million jackpot win
/“Too many zeroes!” said Louis Larson when he left his local Co-op store in a daze.
The Regina resident had checked his Western 649 ticket and discovered he had won $2 million on the June 5 draw.
“I couldn’t believe it,” he said. “I thought the machine must have goofed up – there were too many zeroes after the number two!”

“I went home and told my family,” he continued. “We were all in such disbelief. I still don’t think it has completely sunk in. I’m going to have to see the money in my bank account before I believe it!”
As the initial shock of his win sinks in, the happy winner said he has started to think about all of the possibilities his new win brings.
“I know I’ll share the win with my family,” he said. “And maybe I’ll buy a new SUV. I haven’t bought a brand-new car since 1962.”
“It will also be nice not to have to worry about money for the rest of our retirement,” he said.
His winning numbers were 2, 3, 19, 24, 30 and 46.
