Bakery owner wins big dough with $4 million lottery instant ticket prize

Bakery owner Christine Gustafson won a $4 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “100X The Cash” instant ticket game.

The Hampden County resident had opened a bakery in Westfield at the beginning of 2021, according to a Westfield News interview.

Christine chose the cash option for her prize and received a one-time payment of $2.6 million before taxes.

She plans to put some of her winnings toward the purchase of a summer home.

JJ’s Variety store at Montgomery St. in Westfield where Christine bought the 100x instant ticket.

Her winning ticket was purchased at JJ’s Variety located at 122 Montgomery St. in Westfield. The store will receive a $40,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
