On 8.30am Monday, a Hoosier Lottery man stepped into the Red Carpet Smoke Shop in Chesterton and asked, "Do you know why I'm here?"

The Chesterton store had sold an $18.7 million winning Hoosier Lotto ticket, and the official was getting information about the win from the store's ticket machine.

Hoosier Lottery announced on Monday morning that one ticket sold at Red Carpet Smoke Shop, 1457 Broadway, matched all six numbers in Saturday night's Hoosier Lotto drawing and is worth $18.7 million.

Jaswinder Aujla, an employee at the store, said Monday that no one there had any idea who bought the winning ticket or when.

"We would like to know, too. If somebody knows who is the winner, we would like to know," said Aujla.
