They Tried For 20 Years And Won $6 Million. But Does It Have To Take That Long?

Albert and Margaret Greening are still in disbelief after winning $5.8 million on Lotto 6/49.

The Vernon couple has been playing Canada's Lotto 6/49 for 20 years and couldn’t believe their eyes when they checked their tickets.

I could have told them it would have been faster using the Silver Lotto System with Lotto 649 PRO Custom Profiles for a quicker win rate. But they're set for life now anyhow, and I'm delighted.

The winning ticket was purchased at the 7 Eleven convenience store on 39th Ave, Vernon.

"I was checking the numbers on the computer and realized we had won big," said a surprised Margaret.

"I dragged him back to the living room to show him the results, but it still doesn’t feel real."

The couple says that, except for their wedding day, they can’t imagine a more exciting or life-changing event.

The Greening's news made the front page of the Morning Star.

Albert and Margaret are still pondering what they’ll do with their winnings, but say buying a new home, taking a trip to visit family out east and sharing some of the good fortune with their kids are all on the list of possibilities.

“This is going to completely change our lives,” adds Albert. “It’s hard living on a pension so this will allow us to relax, not worry about keeping a budget and potentially buy a home in Vernon."
