/Star Wars actor Harrison Ford, 75, flies an $80,000 vintage military training aircraft only slightly older than him. It is part of his collection of 7 planes and a helicopter.

Harrison Ford was seen in Santa Monica recently driving his Jaguar sports car.
The 80 year-old monoplane is a Ryan PT-22 Recruit, once favoured by the United States Army Air Corps as a trainer. Harrison was flying out of Santa Monica Airport in Los Angeles.
As chief pilot Harrison Ford flies the plane from the back seat with a passenger in the front.

The Ryan Recruit aircraft piloted by Harrison Ford has crash-landed at an L.A. golf course ... but the actor has survived, reports TMZ in breaking news.
TMZ said they have learned Ford was piloting the vintage 2-seater fighter plane Thursday when something went wrong and he crashed into Penmar golf course in Venice, CA.

Ford suffered multiple gashes to his head and was bleeding. Two doctors who happened to be at the golf course rushed over to treat the actor.
Emergency personnel arrived to the scene a short time later. Ford was transported to a nearby hospital.
