After Clerk Hit The Wrong Button 57-Year-Old Man Wins $380,000 Lottery Prize

 Every week like clockwork  57-year-old Pat Tucker would buy two Mega Millions lottery tickets at his 7-Eleven store in Burbank, California.

Last week, something happened that would change his life - and his bank account.

Instead of buying two Mega Millions tickets, the clerk accidentally gave Tucker a $2 Powerball ticket.

Tucker says instead of tearing it up and getting the Mega Millions ticket that he tried to buy, he decided to just go with it.

Tucker purchased his winning ticket at this 7-Eleven store at 1611 West Olive Avenue in Burbank, Los Angeles County.

When the numbers were drawn for the Powerball lottery, Tucker was stunned.

“It was a fluke I got the ticket,” the 57-year-old said. “It was an accident that I won.”

That’s quite the accident and Tucker couldn’t believe his luck at first. “It still seems funny to me. I don’t know…it doesn’t seem real.”

But it was real. Tucker’s ticket matched five of six numbers in the October 21st Powerball draw.

Those numbers were 30, 32, 42, 56 and 57. Tucker’s ticket missed only the Powerball number of 11.

His accidental ticket matched five of the six numbers, meaning he would walk away with $380,744.

Tucker says he plans to use the money to fix up his house and says it will probably make things a little less stressful.
