Australian Family Are 'Set For Life' With $20,000 A Month For 20 Years

The winning ticket was bought from the Brentwood Village News in Perth, Australia.

His wife bought the winning ticket, but the husband didn't know about it.

The dad knew Brentwood Village News had sold the winning ticket but he had no idea his wife had entered the draw.

Then came the news their numbers had come up and they would receive $20,000 every month for the next 20 years.

He told the West Australian: "We were all in the car going out to get a coffee and at the moment we were about to go past the turn off for Brentwood Village News, we worked out we had a ticket and thought we might as well detour and check."

The retailer confirmed they had the winning ticket. But the size of the win didn't start to sink in until they had checked and rechecked the numbers.

"This is so surreal but I'm happy to get used to it," said the excited winners.

The couple plan to spoil their children and go on a holiday "or two".

"This type of win is perfect for us rather than a lump sum. It's such a fabulous gift," said the woman.
