How To Turn Your Losing Lottery Numbers Into Winners
/Are your lottery numbers always losers? North Carolina's new game could be for you.
The $2 draw game, called All or Nothing, will offer chances twice a day to win a top prize of $250,000 and is scheduled to begin Sept. 7. But here's the delightful option...
“If you're someone who feels like they never get any of the numbers when you play the lottery, then this is the game for you,” said Alice Garland, executive director of the Education Lottery.
“With this game, if you match all the numbers you win $250,000 and if you don't match any of the numbers you win $250,000. Either way wins.”
The game will be played only in North Carolina and is the state's first new draw game in four years. The new game will offer 10 ways to win and prizes that begin at $2.
A panel displays the numbers 1 to 24. You can let the computer Quick Pick, or choose 12 numbers yourself. Each play costs $2.
Drawings will be held twice a day, at 12:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., to randomly select 12 numbers.
There are 10 ways to win:
• Match four or eight numbers for $2 (1 in 5.5 odds)
• Match three or nine numbers for $10 (1 in 28 odds)
• Match two or 10 numbers for $50 (1 in 310.5 odds)
• Match one or 11 numbers for $500 (1 in 9,390 odds)
• Match zero or 12 numbers for $250,000 (1 in 1.35 million odds)
Both ticket sales and drawings will begin Sept. 7. Players will be able to see the drawing or get the results on the state lottery website, www.nc-educationlottery.org/.
