ODDITY: The Speed Camera Lottery Is Making Better (And Richer) Drivers

Now the lottery takes to the road! STORY

The Speed Camera Lottery, dreamed up by San Francisco game producer Kevin Richardson, rewards those drivers who don't exceed the speed limit.

Drivers who obey the speed limit get their picture snapped and entered into the lottery. The prize money is raised by fining those motorists who exceed the limit.

The concept was put into action in Stockholm as Hastighets Lotteriet, together with the Swedish road transport authority.
