A winner from one of the three states that shared the massive Mega Millions $656 million jackpot has come to claim the prize - anonymously.

The Kansas lottery chief Dennis Wilson said that the winner visited his offices accompanied by a lawyer and a financial officer. They made a request for privacy.

The winner elected to receive a lump sum payout of US$110.5 million from the $218 million third share.

Mr Wilson said the delay was because the winner had only just checked their tickets on Monday.

That leaves winners from Illinois and Maryland to go.

Mega Millions is now up to $31 million and interest is rising again. Get the Silver Lotto PRO System today, ready for the next draw on Tuesday.
