Can't eat or sleep! Six excited lottery winners celebrate $1 million Virginia New Year's Raffle

The excitement was real for lottery winner Mildred Rubio (3rd from left) at the Virginia Lottery’s check presentation.
“We cannot eat! We cannot sleep!” That’s how Virginia Lottery winner Mildred Rubio described her feelings as she and five of her long-time friends cashed in their winning New Year’s Millionaire Raffle ticket.
Calling themselves the ‘Lucky 6’, they won the $1 million top prize.
Mildred said this was the first time she and her friends played the Raffle together as a group.
The other members of the ‘Lucky 6’ are Evamae Orquiza of Chesapeake, Agnes Smith of Chesapeake, Rosita Strome of Chesapeake, Maria Edmonds of Virginia Beach and Cristy Bruemmer of Chesapeake.
The winning ticket was purchased at Cedar Mart, located at 1229 Cedar Road in Chesapeake.
That ticket, #254117, turned out to be one of four $1 million winning tickets in the New Year’s Day drawing.
The other three top prize-winning tickets in the January 1 drawing were bought in Alexandria, Stuarts Draft and Virginia Beach.
Six tickets won $100,000 each. Those tickets were bought in Winchester, Mattaponi, Hampton, Martinsville, Goode and Henrico. An additional 500 tickets each won $500.
