19. Marie was arrested on drug charges

Just months after Marie Holmes won the $188 million Powerball, she was charged with possession of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia when the local authorities stormed her home in search of her boyfriend. Holmes was arrested along with three other men. When police searched, they found a gun leading to McDow, a convicted felon, facing another charge. The drug charge against Holmes was later dropped.
