12. Marie didn't actually choose the winning ticket

Marie Holmes lottery ticket was actually bought by her mother, Fontella (photo, right), who confessed the fact on tv program Iyanla: Fix My Life, hosted by inspirational speaker Iyanla Vanzant. Marie Holmes mother said she even chose all the numbers, but Marie did however pay for the ticket herself. “So you picked the numbers?” Marie asked her mother. Fontella said she simply wanted Marie to have a better life with her children.
