You Wouldn't Believe Where This Cool $2-Million Lottery Winner Dude Will Spend His Millions
Don Owen won $2 million in Canada's Western 649.
Looking at Don Owen, Edmonton's latest lotto winner, you wouldn't dream where he intends spending his $2 million jackpot prize.
The laidback guy with a back-to-front cap is the first top prize winner to score a $2-million jackpot in January's draw in Canada's newly upgraded WESTERN 649.
Owen bought his $4 WESTERN 649 lottery ticket from the Mac's convenience store in Edmonton, Canada.

He checked the ticket at another local store the day after the draw.
"The clerk thought it was $200,000," he said, according to the Edmonton Sun. "But when I put my glasses on and counted the zeroes, I realized it was $2 million."
Owen is the game's first $2-million jackpot winner since its new format.
Most winners pay off debts, buy a house, new car and help out the family.
Owen said his initial plan for the windfall is to buy new furniture. We guess he must have all the toys he needs right now!
ABOUT THE 649 CHANGE
WESTERN 649 has been offered since 1999 and is available to play only in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the three northern territories.
The game made changes in October 2014, including a top prize increase from $1 million to Don Owen's top $2 million.
In the 30 draws since the changes, more than 111,000 prizes have been won in all categories, totalling $8.7 million in prizes.
Donald Owen is the game's first $2-million jackpot winner, and the $50,000 second prize has been won 13 times since October.
WESTERN 649 draws are made every Wednesday and Saturday evening.
