Imagine you're the son of the president of a top US hotel group, Marriotts Inc.

And your dad's salary of $2.4 million just doesn't seem to stretch that far any longer. There's that jet you had your eye on.

Brian McCarthy bought the winning ticket while he was getting money out from a grocery store ATM machine.

And won $107 million in the July 2011 jackpot. "I jumped out of bed, poured my wallet out and looked at the numbers and I had the ticket," McCarthy told ABC's Washington D.C. affiliate WJLA.

He took the $68.4 million lump sum payment, and said he'll be golfing in Ireland and buying a BMW M3.

"I'd like my family to be able to enjoy it as much as I can. And also help out some charities along the way," McCarthy told ABC

Fine, but here's the twist...

This wasn't the first time Brian had won the lottery. Twice he has won $1,000 on scratch-off tickets.

It's quite common for winners to win again.

In 2006 a Toronto woman held 2 of the 3 winning tickets in Canada's 649 game, worth $24M. It gave her a $16M windfall.
