A Perth youth aged in his 20’s has a plan to spend some of his $4.8 million win - on Lego blocks.
The young winner of a Set For Life scratch-off prize worth $4.8 million has revealed he plans to go to Legoland and buy $20,000 worth of Lego.
The man, who preferred to stay anonymous, said he bought his lottery ticket from a news agency in Wongan, a suburb 180km north of Perth.
His lucky ticket won him $20,000 a month for the next 20 years.
'I would have been happy winning $10,' he told Perth Now.
The apprentice plans to continue working, but said all he could think about was to spend some of his winnings at Legoland.
“On my silly list is a plan to go to Legoland and buy $20,000 worth of Lego,” he said.
Lotterywest spokesperson Jennie Fitzhardinge said the man’s win is why Set for Life is such an exciting game.
“Winning Set for Life is the perfect prize for young players as $20,000 a month for 20 years is a great way to enjoy the winnings over an extended time,” she said.
“The fact our most recent winner says that while the win is life changing and will give him a comfortable lifestyle, that he will continue to work, is what this game is all about.
A Set for Life ticket is entered in seven draws in a row, so players can start at any day of the week for seven chances to win.
