I'm a retired taxi driver and I won £1 million in the UK Lottery on Saturday
A retired taxi driver, 73, from Exeter won £1 million after matching five numbers plus the Bonus Ball in the UK Lotto draw, reported the Daily Record.
The winner talked about his windfall yesterday:
I'm Steve Glover from Exeter, and I won a million pounds on the Lotto on Saturday.
I checked my ticket on the phone, and on the website, and I didn't believe what I was seeing. I then rang my best friend who asked about the numbers, and he said, "Yes, they are correct."
I then rang my ex-wife, and she said, "Yes, you've won, but you've won a million? I don't believe you."
Now, my journey begins with this windfall. I can purchase a motorhome and then take a holiday journey to Scotland.
When I arrive in Scotland, I can then live in the motorhome while I look for a property where I want to be. I don't have to go to the estate agent straight away and try to find a place before I can move.
I have got that leeway of help, and I feel now that I am ecstatic. It's one word I don't know; there's plenty.
But it's a journey of a lifetime to go back to where I used to be when I was around 17-18 and onwards. That's why I'm going back to Scotland; I love it.
If I was going to give you one word about winning the lottery, there's only one word: fantastic!
