4 unusual ways you can increase your positivity about playing the lottery - and #2 is important

Many of the lottery winners you see in the photos with their big check are happy. But you don't have to win to be positive.

Most lottery players are very positive people. They realise that not every game will prove a winner but the next one might. This influences their thoughts and personality.

So remember this advice on getting some wins into your lotto life:

Keeping positive keeps you playing. And that's the most important part of winning lotto - taking part! Without your "entrance ticket" - the tickets you buy to get into the game - you'll get nowhere.

When you're positive, you energize others around you. Lotto is not a solitary game... it is meant to be enjoyed by many people. So gather everyone together round the tv when the game is drawn, and make a social occasion of it. See how the reinforcing effect is keeping you interested, and playing?

Remember that a percentage of your play money goes to worthy causes. Clubs, charities, volunteer organizations... they all benefit by your generosity. And if you believe in karma - the attitude that what you give out will always come back manyfold, then that's your reward.

So how do you increase your positivity?  Here's 4 ideas:

#1. Throw out bad memories.

Everything you have, everything you look at - everything you remember - has memories for you. Good, neutral or bad.

This step is simple: get rid of all the BAD memories. These will hold you back, and stop you from concentrating on the good times ahead.

Pull out the kitchen drawers and throw away copies of bills you paid late, ALL bills you've paid, photos of people you dislike, plates and cups that are chipped, old photos of how strange you looked back in the 60's, and failed projects.

#2. Trash your losing lottery tickets. Rip them up, throw them away - after you've had them checked by your lotto store, of course.

$3. Reduce clutter. Clean it up. Clutter is a visual reminder of how messy your mind is right now. Clean it up and your mind will be freer too.

#4. Replace your bad-luck past with success... reminders of happy places you've been, photos of people who you admire or have helped you, letters that have touched you.

Many successful people have framed photos of their first sales check, trophies in a cabinet... it's all part of reinforcing positive character traits that help them through the tough times.

Whether your own success trophy is a car, a watch, a framed check, pictures of happy grandchildren, your first record deal - make sure you have something around that reminds you of how great you really are.
