Canadian lottery players can get excited. The Lotto Max jackpot that's usually stuck at $50 million is going up.
The lottery announced that beginning July 17, 2015, the Lotto Max jackpot cap will increase from $50 million to $60 million.
Following the increase, the jackpot cap - or the maximum amount that a main jackpot can reach - will now continue to grow once the LOTTO MAX jackpot reaches $50 million.
There will be no change in price for Lotto Max. Players will continue to receive three lines for each $5 play.
The timing of the first draw with a $60 million jackpot will depend on sales and when jackpots are won between now and then.

MAXMILLIONS prizes will continue to start when the jackpot reaches $50 million.
FUN FACT: Since 2009 and across Canada, Lotto Max has offered a $50 million jackpot 83 times and it has been won 33 times.
