The presentation started off with an announcement from New York Lottery spokeswoman Yolanda Vega.

Tammy Pratt of South Fallsburg won $126 million in a Mega Millions jackpot drawing Feb. 27.

Pratt, a real estate broker, was handed a hefty check along with a bouquet of red roses by lottery officials at a ceremony in March 2015, unveiling her as the sole winner.

Pratt was in the middle of a routine work day and in between real estate appointments when she pulled into a Mobil gas station to buy tickets. She had $6 on her, and invested in four Mega Millions tickets at $1 each and a Powerball ticket for $2.

The first thing on her mind when she wokeup the next day was who had won.

"I checked my ticket online. I saw that someone purchased the winning ticket in South Fallsburg. Then I saw it was purchased at the same store where I bought my ticket and I thought 'Oh my God! Could the winner be me?'” she recalled.

Pratt is planning to take her prize in one lump sum of $81.6 million, and will net approximately $54 million after required withholdings.

Her family is humbled by the sudden blessing, said Pratt.

The win made her the 32nd New Yorker to hit a Mega Millions jackpot since the game began in 2002.
