Great-Grandad Waits 3 Weeks In Disbelief At $24.5 Million Lottery Jackpot
Winston Parks of Toronto didn't believe he had won a huge 6/49 jackpot at first.
With his eyes and mouth wide open for the photo, it was an “Oh My God!” moment jackpot winner Winston Parks will not soon forget.
The Toronto father, grandfather and great-grandfather won $24.5 million in the Canada Lotto 649 game.
Winstone said he had a hard time believing he held the winning ticket from the Nov. 7th draw.
"I checked on my laptop and I checked on my desktop too," the great-grandfather said in a news release from Ontario Lottery and Gaming on Tuesday.
The winning ticket was purchased at Petro-Canada on Bayview Avenue in Toronto.
His family members helped confirm it — and Parks said he plans to share the wealth.
"I purchased the ticket, but my whole family won," Parks said.
“It makes me happy to make others happy. I have lived a full life so this big win will give the people I love the opportunity to live full lives of their own.”
